The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have announced the commencement of the application process for the RPF Recruitment 2024, offering a total of 4,660 vacancies for Sub-Inspectors (SI) and Constables in the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF). The recruitment drive is aimed at bolstering the security apparatus of the Indian Railways and ensuring the safety of passengers and railway assets.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • For Constable (Executive) vacancies, applicants must be aged between 18-28 years as of July 1, 2024.
  • For SI vacancies, candidates should be between 20 and 28 years of age as per the cut-off date.
  • Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the age limit is relaxed by 3 years, and additional relaxations are provided for reserved category candidates.
  • Educational qualifications include a minimum of Class 10 for Constable vacancies and a graduation degree from a recognized university for SI vacancies.
  • Candidates awaiting the results of their qualifying examinations are not eligible to apply.

Application Fees:

  • The application fee for both SI and Constable posts is ₹500 for general category candidates.
  • SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Female, Minorities, or Economically Backward Class (EBC) candidates are exempted from paying the fee.
  • A portion of the fee will be refunded after appearing in the computer-based test (CBT).
