The first half of 2022 witnessed the release of some of the most thrilling and amusing web series on diverse OTT platforms. Despite theatres bouncing back into being, OTT content remained popular among households. Having faced the wrath of the pandemic, the entertainment industry is trying to get back on its feet in novel ways, of which the production of a large number of web series has been the most evident one.
We’ve listed the top five shows of the year so far, in case you missed any! From Madhuri Dixit’s fascinating drama ‘The Fame Game’ to a real-life story translated in the shape of ‘Rocket Boys’ to a different kind of romance tale ‘Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein’.
1. Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein
‘Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein’ is an engrossing love story with far more twists and turns than a saas-bahu show! A network of falsehoods and a political power game sets the tone for this web series, which stars Tahir Raj Bhasin, Shweta Tripathi, and Anchal Singh. The show undeniably is a homage to the pulp fiction genre of the 90s that had an entire audience base in India. While a sequel of the show is in the offing, we recommend that you add this popcorn drama to your viewing list.
