Following the completion of the movie Dunki, Shah Rukh Khan performed the Umrah in Saudi Arabia. The Bollywood superstar hailed the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Culture for their cordial hospitality in a video he posted on November 30. On December 2, videos and images of SRK in Mecca started to circulate online.
Shah Rukh shot in the beautiful Saudi Arabia for Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. Shah Rukh Khan was photographed performing the Umrah in Mecca by a Saudi journalist. “Bollywood Actor Shah Rukh Khan @iamsrk performed Umrah in #Mecca today. May Allah swt accept his umrah, Ameen. #ShahRukhKhan (sic),” read his tweet.

Umrah is a Saudi Arabian pilgrimage to Mecca. While the Hajj is an annual trip performed during Eid al-Adha, it can be done at any time of the year.
The cast and crew of Dunki finished filming in Saudi Arabia very recently after finishing in London. Taking to social media, SRK dropped a video from the scenic beauty of Saudi Arabia, and said, “There’s nothing more satisfying than completing a shooting schedule, as is Dunki in Saudi. Thank you for giving us such spectacular locations and the warm hospitality. I want to thank Raju sir and the rest of the cast and crewâ€¦.a very big Shukran to you all. God bless you.”
“A very big Shukran to #SaudiArabiaMinistryOfCulture, the team, and all who made this shoot schedule of #Dunki so smooth (sic),” SRK wrote alongside the video while sharing video.
Dunki is backed by Red Chillies Entertainment, JIO Studios, and Rajkumar Hirani Films. The movie is scheduled to hit theatres on December 22, 2023. In addition to Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee, Boman Irani will be seen in the film. Shah Rukh Khan also has Sidharth Anand’s Pathaan and Atlee’s Jawan in addition to Dunki. Much to the excitement of his fans, SRK will have three major releases in the coming year.
