Prince Harry’s autobiography “Spare” has been scheduled to release on January 10. According to a report by The Guardian, the Duke of Sussex revealed disturbing details about how his brother William physically assaulted him in his memoir.
According to Page Six, quoting The Guardian, he describes an incident in which his brother William, now the Prince of Wales, physically assaulted him during an argument over the former’s wife, American actress Meghan Markle.
William referred to Meghan in the news outlet’s snippets as “difficult,” “rude,” and “abrasive.” It was a “parroting of the press narrative,” according to Harry, about Meghan.
The argument escalated when William “grabbed Harry by the collar.”
Prince Harry said, “It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out.”
Harry said that he had a back injury that was clearly noticeable after the alleged altercation.
The most recent information regarding the troubled relationship between the brothers comes as their father King Charles gets ready for his coronation in May after his mother Queen Elizabeth II passed away at the age of 96 in September.
Since Harry and Markle left their royal duties in 2020 and moved to California, their relationship has been strained.
The rift erupted in 2021 when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex gave a shocking interview to Oprah Winfrey in which Harry made the shocking claim that his brother and father, King Charles III, were trapped in their respective roles.
Harry and Meghan, spoke out about their relationships with the British royal family in a Netflix documentary on the reason behind their stunning departure for North America in 2020 that aired last month.
They laid much of the blame for their unhappiness in it on tabloid harassment and racist media reports, some of which they allege the family was responsible for.
