NTA NEET Result 2020: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the result for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) on October 16which was earlier known as the All India Pre-Medical Test.
More than 14.37 lakh candidates had appeared for the medical entrance and can now check their result at the official website – https://ntaneet.nic.in/.
Students will have to enter their roll number which was mentioned on their respective admit cards to check the result.
The all India medical entrance test was conducted on the 13th of September amidst following strict COVID-19 protocols after it was postponed on multiple occasions due to the situations caused by the deadly virus.

Here are the steps for students who wish to check their results online can do the same by following these simple steps
- Visit the official website- https://nta.ac.in/
- Click on the download result link
- Enter registration number, roll number
- Results will appear on the screen
- Download the scorecard and take a print out for future reference
In order for a candidate to qualify for MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) or BSD courses (Bachelor of Dental Surgery), he/ she needs to obtain a minimum on 50% in the NEET exams.
For those who belong to the reserved categories including SC (Scheduled Caste) and ST (Scheduled Tribe) category, the minimum marks are 40% and for PwD (Persons with Disabilities) candidates it is 45%.
The NEET score is accepted in all Indian colleges and institutes and as per the latest rule, NEET is also mandatory for Indian students aspiring to study medicine and related fields abroad.
Counselling
Candidates who qualify for counselling are those who are under 15% of all India quota seats. The National Testing Agency will forward the list of successful candidates to Directorate General (DG) of Health Services, medical examination cell of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. While the NTA will be declaring the rank, the counselling will be taken care of by the Ministry.
