General Elections 2024: During a public rally on Sunday, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi continued with his attacks on Congress and highlighted how Rahul Gandhi insulted the Indian Rajas and Maharajas but stayed mum on the atrocities committed on the Indian population by the Badshahs, Nizams, Nawabs and Sultans calling it appeasement politics.

He also attacked the Congress party over their “inheritance tax” remark and targeted their government in Karnataka over weak law and order.

PM Modi said that while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is working hard to increase the income and assets of the people of India, Congress’ Shahzade (Rahul Gandhi) and his sister (Priyanka Gandhi Vadra) are both claiming to do “X-Ray” of the country if they come to power.

He said, the Congress “will x-ray your property, bank lockers, lands, vehicles, also ‘Streedhan’ and ornaments of women, gold, the Mangalsutra. These people will raid every house and capture your assets. After capturing they are talking about redistributing it, they want to give it to their loved vote bank,” and asked the people “Will you allow this loot to happen?”

PM Modi asserted that Congress should “leave this intention. Until Modi is alive, I will not allow it.”

In the rally, PM Modi said, “Congress has ensured the writings of our history and our freedom struggle with an eye on appeasement and vote bank. Even today, the Congress’ shehzade (prince) is carrying forward that sin.

“You might have heard Congress’ shehzade’s recent statement — he says Bharath’s Rajas and Maharajas were atyachari (oppressive),” as he addressed the huge crowd.

Indian Prime Minister also said, “He (Gandhi) has accused them (Rajas and Maharajas) of usurping the lands and properties of people and poor…Congress’ shehzade has insulted great personalities like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Kittur Rani Channamma, whose administration and patriotism inspire us even today”.

PM Modi, during the rally, recalled the once-Mysuru royal family for which they are respected across the country saying, “The Congress’ shehzade’s statements were intentional, aimed at vote bank politics and appeasement.

“Shahzade spoke ill about Raja, Maharajas, but the shahzade’s mouth was locked regarding the ‘atyachar’ that Nawabs, Nizams, Sultans and Badshahs committed in India’s history. His mouth was shut on them, but on Raja, Maharajas he speaks ill and insults them”.

PM Modi highlighted that Rahul Gandhi very conveniently forgot the oppressions from the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, “He (Aurangzeb) impured a number of our temples and destroyed them.

“Congress is happily making alliances with parties that praise Aurangzeb…they don’t remember people who destroyed our religious places and indulged in killing, killing of cows. They don’t remember the Nawab, who played a role in the partition of India.”

Prime Minister further added that the contributions of Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar in the reconstruction of temples, Raja of Banaras in setting up the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and Maharaja of Baroda who identified the talent of Ambedkar were all forgotten by Rahul Gandhi.

He said, “The Congress’ shehzade doesn’t remember the contributions of Rajas and Maharajas. For vote bank, they show the guts of speaking against Rajas and Maharajas, but don’t have the strength to speak against Nawabs, sultans and Badshahs”.

He added that the Congress’ “appeasement mindset” had come out in the open during the Lok Sabha elections before the country, and this was also reflected in their manifesto.

B S Yediyurappa, the veteran leader and former CM of Karnataka from BJP who is also the party’s candidate from Belgaum (Belagavi), former Chief Minister of Karnataka Jagadish Shettar and Annasaheb Shankar Jolle (candidate from Chikkodi) were all present on the stage during the rally.

Since Congress came to power in Karnataka (May 23), the law and order in the state has taken a turn for the worse alleged PM Modi as he recalled the atrocities against the Adivasi woman in Belagavi and the Kil*ing of a Jain Monk in Chikkodi. PM Modi said these incidents have brought shame to Karnataka’s pride.

PM Modi did not hold back and raised the recent murder of a Hubballi student, Neha Hiremath, that happened in broad daylight at her college premises which has created a “sensation” in the country. He said, “For them, the lives of daughters like Neha have no value, they think only about their vote bank.”

PM Modi said, that the family has sought action against the alleged, however, the in-power Congress government is again giving priority to appeasement.

PM Modi went on to attack the Congress party over the bomb blast in the Rameshwaram Café saying the national party did not even take the incident seriously at the beginning.

PM Modi said, “Why are you — Congress — lying to the people of the country, if you can’t (be truthful), leave and go home.”

PM Modi said that the Congress has fallen so much that to win the elections it is now taking support from the banned PFI (Popular Front of India) which is the anti-national organisation which supports terrorism and added, “To win one seat in Wayanad, are you surrendering to them? BJP has banned PFI and has put its leaders behind bars”.

PM Modi also said that the Indian National Congress has resorted to the “dangerous” formula of “inheritance tax” which the Congress will use to tax what people have saved for their children either property or money, once they come to power.

PM Modi said, “They (Congress) say, you cannot give what you save for your children. If you have to give, you have to pay 55 per cent tax on it…to distribute to its vote bank they want to capture your assets.”
