The age limits vary depending on the teaching roles. For Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) positions, candidates should not exceed 40 years of age. The maximum age limit for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) roles is 35 years. As for Primary Teachers (PRT), the age limit is set at 30 years.

Selection Process:

The selection process comprises two rounds. The initial round will feature a computer-based test (CBT), followed by an interview round for those who pass the test.

Application Fees:

Applicants for Post-Graduate Teachers (PGTs), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs), and Primary Teachers (PRTs) are required to pay an application fee of Rs 750 each.


The salary structure for these teaching positions is as follows:

  • Post-Graduate Teachers (PGTs): Rs 9,300 to Rs 34,800 with a Grade Pay of Rs 4,800.
  • Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs): Rs 9,300 to Rs 34,800 with a Grade Pay of Rs 4,600.
  • Primary Teachers (PRT): Rs 9,300 to Rs 34,800 with a Grade Pay of Rs 4,200.

Documents Required:

Candidates need to provide various documents, including their Aadhar Card, PAN Card, 10th and 12th mark sheets, Graduation and Master’s Degree certificates, Disability Certificate (if applicable), Caste Certificate, Birth Certificate, Passport-Size Photo and Scanned Signature.
