The Indian Oil Corporation Limited through Indian Oild Recruitment 2020 notification is inviting applications from interested and eligible candidates as the company wishes to fill 500 posts of apprentices across various Disciplines in the Western Region.

Out of 500, 364 posts are for technical disciples and 136 are for non- technical posts and once selected the candidates may be placed in states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Madhya Pradesh.

Eligibility Criteria For Indian Oil Recruitment 2020

There are 2 eligibility criteria that the candidates must abide by before applying for the Indian Oil Recruitment for Apprentice post.

Age:

Applicant should be at least 18 years old and should not be older than 24 years of age as on 29th February 2020. This age limit is applicable to the General and EWS category. Relaxation for the upper age limit will be provided to the SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwBD category applicants as per the government norms.

Marksheets and passing certificates issued by the Board of Secondary Education for the class X (10th) will be accepted as the documents for age proof.

Education:

For the apprentice in technical disciplines, applicants must have 3 years Diploma in relevant discipline with at least 50% marks. For apprentice in trade posts, an applicant should hold a full-time ITI certificate and non-technical trade class 12th level education is required along with a graduation degree.

For the reserved categories, the minimum marks required is 45%.

Applicants who possess a higher professional degree or are pursuing higher professional degree like BE/ B. Tech, CA, LLB, MBA, MCA will not be considered for the apprenticeship.

Indian Oil Recruitment 2020 Selection

Selection of the candidates will be on the basis of his/ her individual performance as the marks obtained in the test which will have a duration of 90 minutes and have 100 objective type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

The minimum requirement in this test is 40%, which means which means at least 40 questions must be correctly answered. For SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates 35% marks will be required.

Selected candidates will have to endure a 12 month training period, however, Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Freshers) & Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Skilled Certificate Holders) will have training period of 15 months.
