A heartwarming tale of a mother and daughter is all that you need to see right now, especially in a time when empathy and kindness has taken a back seat. Deb Arti Ria Chakravorty and her mother Moushumi are featured in the story, which Humans of Bombay posted on Instagram.
Chakravorty begins the story by explaining how she helped her mother in finding her happily ever after. “Last year, one evening I got a call from my aunt who said, ‘There’s a guy who likes your Mom.’ I was excited. I loved the idea of Maa finding love again,” caption stated.
The post continues by describing the mental barriers her mother faced when she decided to share her heart with someone in her life many years after her husband’s passing. “Because after Papa’s death, Maa moved to Nani’s house and I grew up there. I was just 2 and Maa was 25. Everyone would say, ‘You should remarry.’ But she refused. She’d say, ‘I’ll find love, but my daughter won’t find a father’,” the caption added.
The post concludes on a very happy note when Chakravorty arranged her mother’s wedding with great success. “I realised that Maa found a partner and I too, found a Dad. Maa’s happier now and that makes me the happiest,” it ended.
