Taking a dig at the BJP and Congress, Aam Aadmi Party chief, Arvind Kejriwal communicated that his party will be the first to announce the CM candidate for Punjab. Highlighting the fact that the majority of the parties generally prefer disclosing the candidature when elections are around the corner or post enforcement of the model code of conduct.
Denouncing BJP and Congress, he further went on to say that he was merely following the footsteps of his rivals in not disclosing the candidature name. He mentioned that Congress has provided no clarity on who among Channi, Randhawa and Sidhu will be their CM face. Ruling party BJP seemed to be doing the same and has not given any transparency on whether Yogi Adityanath or some other individual would contest from their end. Goa and Uttarakhand sailed on the same boat.
Kejriwal ascertained that his party would reveal the CM face well ahead of the opposition. AAP’s election campaign named “Mission Punjab” was launched from the state’s Moga district. Arvind Kejriwal had an interaction with an enormous group of auto drivers the other day and acknowledged a dinner invitation from one of them.
Present CM of the State, Charanjit Singh Channi, too interacted with auto drivers and declared that all unsettled challans would be waived off for them.

Kejriwal lambasted Channi by referring to him as the ‘’fake Kejriwal’’ on account of allegedly imitating his election promises. He accused Channi of making promises similar to those made by him within the next couple of days and that he (Channi) does not do any original work.
A cash transfer scheme for women was declared in the State by Mr Kejriwal aside from assurance of 300 units of free electricity and a continual power supply. Moreover, he also announced a direct credit of Rs. 1000 to women above 18 years of age.
