Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan turned 56th on Tuesday, fans from all over the world filled social media with birthday greetings and personal stories about their experiences with him. The momentous day finished with a boom, when the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, lighted up in his honour.

One admirer from Dubai honoured King Khan’s birthday by projecting his image on the tower with the message “We love you.”

Along with the dazzling light show on the 163-story tower, the iconic SRK song ‘Tujhe Dekha Toh Yeh Jaana Sanam’ from his film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge was also played over the loudspeaker to celebrate the occasion.

Renowned businessman Mohamed Alabbar, also the founder of Emaar Properties, the developer of properties such as the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall, uploaded the video and tagged Khan.

This isn’t the first time SRK’s birthday message has appeared on the UAE’s most famous building. This is Khan’s third appearance on the Burj Khalifa building. In fact, the actor celebrated his birthday with family members in Dubai last year, while standing in front of the skyscraper.

In 2019, Alabbar honoured SRK’s birthday in a similar manner for the first time, which drew a large crowd of Bollywood fans to the venue. “Thanks for making me shine so bright. Your love and kindness is unsurpassable. Wow! This is really the Tallest I have ever been. Love u Dubai,” he wrote, sharing a video.

This year, the Bollywood actor celebrated the special day away from the spotlight as his son Aryan Khan was arrested in a narcotics bust case and eventually released on bail.
