Mohammed Shahrukh, the shooter whose videos and photos went viral during the riots NorthEast Delhi of him firing multiple rounds from his gun. Additionally, Shahrukh was seen pointing his gun at the police officer in the Jaffrabad-Maujpur area last Monday has been arrested.
Shahrukh was on the run ever since the incident took place a week ago in which he not only shot multiple rounds at people but also threatened the police officer with his gun.
Today, the Delhi Police arrested Mohammed Shahrukh from Shamli, Uttar Pradesh.
Earlier that reports said that Delhi Police had arrested the gunman within days after his videos and images of him using a gun surfaced, however, the police said that he had not been caught.
Today, the police have confirmed that Shahrukh has been arrested from Shamli city in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
For 3 days, violence engulfed the NorthEast Delhi which started on the 23rd February and continued the terror until the night of 25th February. Over 45 people have lost their lives and around 250 people were left injured.
Amongst the people who lost their lives were Constable Ratan Lal who died of a bullet wound and IB Officer Ankit Sharma whose body was recovered from a sewer in the area.
