In a recent notification – Indian Navy Recruitment 2020 – the prestigious Indian Navy is inviting eligible and interested candidates to Sailors under different eligibility conditions. However, the Sailors will only be fulfilled by candidates from Sports quota.
The candidates who wish to get enrolled with the Indian Navy as Sailors should visit the official website and download the allocation form (Or find the link at the end of the article). As directed by the Indian Navy Recruitment notification, the end date of applications will be 26th January 2020, however, candidates applying from North East, Jammu & Kashmir, Andaman & Nicobar, Lakshdweep & Minicoy Islands will get extension on end date, i.e. 31st January 2020.
Age Limit:
For Direct Entry Petty Officers, the age limit is kept between 17 years and 22 years as on the commencement of the course. Which means, the applicant must be born between 1st February 1998 and 31st January 2003 (both dates included).

For Senior Secondary Recruits and Matric Recruits, the age limit is kept between 17 years and 21 years as on the commencement of the course. The applicants should be born between 1st February 1999 and 31st January 2003.
Sports Disciplines:
Candidates interested in applying in this job, should be outstanding sportspersons who must have participated at International / Junior or Senior National Championship / Senior State Championship/ All India Inter University Championship in Athletics, Aquatics, Basket-ball, Boxing, Cricket, Football, Gymnastics, Handball, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Weightlifting, Wrestling, Squash, Fencing, Golf, Tennis, Kayaking & Canoeing, Rowing, Shooting, Sailing, and Wind Surfing.
Educational Qualifications:
The applicants should be 12th standard qualified irrespective of stream, if not 12th then any equivalent examination.
For applications of Indian Navy Recruitment 2020 last date is kept as 26th of January 2020, however, for applicants from North East, Jammu & Kashmir, Andaman & Nicobar, Lakshdweep & Minicoy Islands will get 5 days extension, i.e. 31st January 2020.
Engagement:
Once a candidate is selected, he/she will be appointed to serve a term of 15 years.
Pay and Allowances:
During the initial training stage, the selected candidates will get monthly stipend of Rs. 14,600/- but once the training is completed, the applicant will be placed in Level 3 of Defence Pay Matrix, which can get him salary between Rs. 21,700 and Rs. 43,100. Additionally, they will also get Military Service Pay (MSP) of Rs. 5,200 per month and DA.
An insurance cover of Rs. 50 lakh is also applicable for all sailors (on contributions).
