A South Korean woman who was live-streaming in Mumbai was harassed by two guys, according to the police. One of the accused was seen dragging the YouTuber in Khar last night while the latter yelled “no, no” in a video that was posted online.

The accused is seen in the one-minute video offering the female YouTuber a lift by grabbing her hand while she nervously resists. The accused tries to kiss the woman’s face when she refuses to sit down and wraps a hand around her neck.

The woman starts to move away while adamantly rejecting the move and says “Time to go home” on the live video.

He returns with another man riding a bike and offers to give her a ride as she walks away. The woman denies it and explains that her house is nearby in broken English.

Retweeting the video, the woman said that she tried to keep things calm because the accused was with another man.

She said, “Last night on stream, there was a guy who harassed me. I tried my best not to escalate the situation and leave because he was with his friend. And some people said that it was initiated by me being too friendly and engaging the conversation. Makes me think again about streaming.”

Based on the footage, the police have independently reported a sexual assault case.

In a tweet, the Mumbai Police stated, “Mumbai Police’s Khar Police station has taken a Suo Moto action in an incident that happened with a Korean woman (foreigner) in the jurisdiction of Khar West. In this regard, both the accused have been arrested and booked under relevant sections of the IPC.”
