Highlights:

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today allocated portfolios to the seven new ministers appointed on Sunday, in an attempt to balance caste equations and regional aspirations. Jitin Prasada, the only Cabinet minister in the expansion, has been handed the ministry of technical education.
Prasada was one of seven State Cabinet ministers who took their oaths on Sunday. In June of this year, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In addition to him, six additional BJP MLAs were appointed to Yogi Adityanath’s cabinet.
The six BJP MLAs apart from Jitin Prasada that have been given the new responsibilities are— Dharmvir Singh, Chhatrapal Singh, Sangita Balwant, Paltu Ram, Sanjeev Kumar, and Dinesh Khatik who took oath as ministers of state (MoS).

CM Adityanath welcomed the new cabinet members, saying, “All of the ministers who have been sworn in on Sunday have been allocated the responsibility of their departments. I am certain that the growth of the department’s concern will reach new heights under your leadership.”
In the presence of UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Governor Anandiben Patel administered the oath to the new ministers at Governor House in Lucknow on Sunday.
