Tripura is set to witness a significant boost in its railway connectivity with the introduction of the Vande Bharat Express train service. Chief Minister Manik Saha announced this development, stating that the service would commence shortly after the completion of the electrification of rail lines in the region, which is currently in its final stages.

The Chief Minister highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Northeast HIRA Model and praised the Vista Dome, a feature of the Vande Bharat Express that offers innovative panoramic views that were previously unimaginable. He expressed confidence that the electrification process would be completed soon, paving the way for the Vande Bharat Express’s operation in Tripura.

Dr. Manik Saha recently commended the Vande Bharat train service during a journey from Maldaha to Howrah, acknowledging its transformative impact on Indian Railways. He lauded the efficiency of the service and credited Prime Minister Modi and Indian Railways for their proactive approach to implementing this initiative.

In a significant development, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated 10 new Vande Bharat trains and laid the foundation stone for various developmental projects worth over Rs 1,06,000 crores. These projects encompass diverse sectors, including railway infrastructure and connectivity, signaling a substantial investment in the nation’s transportation network.

With these ten new trains, the number of Vande Bharat trains now exceeds 50, covering 45 routes across the country. Indian Railways currently operates 41 Vande Bharat Express services, connecting states through electrified networks. The latest introductions aim to enhance connectivity across various routes, facilitating smoother and faster intercity travel.

These initiatives mark a significant stride in developing India’s railway infrastructure, underscoring the government’s commitment to bolstering connectivity and promoting economic growth. As Tripura prepares to embrace the Vande Bharat Express, residents can look forward to enhanced travel options and improved connectivity with the rest of the country.
