The crown prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, is on vacation in London with his family and friends. For his 14.5 million followers, he has been posting snippets from London on his official Instagram account. One of the pictures has gone viral shows the Crown Prince travelling on the London Underground, a place where people would not often expect a royal to go. The rapid transit system, like the Metro, serves Greater London as well as some areas of the nearby English counties of Buckinghamshire, Essex, and Hertfordshire.
Sheikh Hamdan and his friend can be seen in the now-viral photo standing in the middle of a crowded Metro compartment. The two are not recognised by the train’s passengers, according to the National, who identified his friend as Badr Ateej.
The caption of the photo uploaded over a week ago by the Dubai Crown Prince said, “We’ve got a long way to go and Badr is already bored.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai, could be seen travelling with Sheikh Hamdan in a different picture. In another post, the Crown Prince shared a picture of himself with his father and his two children on Instagram.
He may have gone unnoticed now, but a video that went viral last month showed Sheikh Hamdan taking selfies with a Dubai resident in London with the Dubai crown prince after they saw him in his car.
The Crown Prince’s friend and frequent travelling companion Ahmad Jaber Al Harbi shared the video with the caption, “When a Dubai resident spotted @faz3 in #London”.
The Crown Prince of Dubai is famously known as Fazza.
