Akshay Kumar praised Anupam Kher for the positive reviews he’s been receiving for his performance in Vivek Agnihotri’s latest film ‘The Kashmir Files.’

Akshay had praised the film on Twitter for bringing people back to the theatres. He also stated that he has heard good things about Anupam Kher’s performance in the film and that he plans to see it soon.

Akshay took to Twitter to say, “Hearing absolutely incredible things about your performance in #TheKashmirFiles @AnupamPKher Amazing to see the audience back to the cinemas in large numbers. Hope to watch the film soon. Jai Ambe.”

The film ‘The Kashmir Files,’ which has been trending for a while now is set in the early 1990s and portrays the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus caused by insurgency in the state, has done exceptionally well at the box office.

Despite facing stiff competition from commercial films such as ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ and ‘Radhe Shyam,’ the film went on to make over Rs 12 crore at the box office.

In addition to Anupam Kher and Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumar, Pallavi Joshi, and Puneet Issar play important roles in the film.

On March 11, the film was launched on just 630 screens in India, but owing to positive word of mouth, the number of screens was expanded to 2000 on March 13 across the country.

The Kashmir Files, directed by Vivek Agnihotri, is doing really well at the box office. The film opened with a box office collection of Rs 3.55 crore, but on its second day of release, it jumped to Rs 8.50 crore. The film has earned Rs 12.05 crore so far.
