Filmmaker Rian Johnson Reveals That Apple Does Not Let Its Product Be Shown In The Hands Of Antagonists In Movies

In an interview, American filmmaker Rian Johnson made an outrageous revelation that US tech giant Apple Inc does not allow its flagship device, iPhone to be shown being used by the antagonists or bad guys in the movies.

In a video interview with Vanity Fair, Johnson was discussing a scene from his recent Thriller, Drama movie “Knives Out” and when he talked about a scene where all the family members had iPhones, one did not use it who was revealed to be the villain in the finale of the movie.

Johnson said, “I don’t know if I should say this or not. Not because it’s lascivious or something, but because it’s gonna screw me on the next mystery movie that I write.”

He adds, “But forget it, I’ll say it, it’s very interesting. Apple, they let you use iPhones in movies, but, and this is very pivotal, if you’re ever watching a mystery movie, bad guys cannot have iPhones on camera,”.

Knives Out was released in November 2019 and featured big names like Chris Evans, Daniel Craig, Katherine Langford, Ana de Armas, Jaeden Martel, Jamie Lee Curtis, Christopher Plummer, Michael Shannon, Lakeith Stanfield, Toni Collette, and Don Johnson among others.
