Pakistan is where Ms Yousafzai was born. She was shot by Taliban militants when she was just 11 years old for openly speaking up on behalf of girls and their right to education.
She was brought to a hospital in Birmingham, where she healed and later resumed her campaign for female child education.
After months of surgeries and therapy, she was reunited with her family in their new home in the United Kingdom in 2014. With the help of her father, Malala founded the Malala Fund which is a non-profit organisation devoted to giving every girl the opportunity to achieve the future she desires.
Ms Yousafzai was given the Nobel Peace Prize in December 2014 in recognition of her efforts, making her the youngest Nobel laureate ever. She went on to study Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Oxford, where she graduated in 2020.
Malala Yousafzai earned a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Oxford University last year.
According to a report published by newspaper Dawn, Malala’s spouse, Asser Malik, is the general manager of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s High Performance Centre. Malik joined the organisation in May 2020, according to his LinkedIn page.
Asser Malik also owns the Pakistani Last Man Stands franchise. From April 2019 to May 2020, he was the Managing Director of MLK Management, a player management firm.
Asser Malik earned a degree from Lahore University of Management Sciences in 2012 in Economics and Political Science.
