Yesterday evening, people from Delhi, Lucknow among many other residing in North India sensed tremors. An earthquake of 5.3 magnitude was revealed on the Richter Scale at around 7:00 in the evening (1900 hours). According to EMSC, the epicentre of the Earthquake was around 6 kilometres from Devisthan, Nepal, 1.4 kilometres below the ground.

According to reports, tremors were felt in Noida, Chandigarh, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, and some parts of Uttarakhand. In Lucknow, as people felt the buildings shaking, they ran out on the streets, bringing a state of panic and horror in people.
