  • A video of Khan sir from Patna went viral on social media on Sunday.
  • Khan sir was heard in the video explaining how the same sentence’s meaning changes when the name “Suresh” is used instead of the name “Abdul.”
  • Congress leader Supriya Shrinate demands action against the Patna-based instructor and Youtuber.

In a now-viral video, Khan sir from Patna was heard citing an example of how the substitution of a Muslim name for a Hindu name alters the meaning of a sentence. Congress leaders are calling for his arrest as a result of the turmoil the video has caused.

Khan sir was heard explaining how the meaning of the same line changed when the name “Suresh” was used in place of “Abdul.”

He said, “There are some sentences which have two meanings. For example, if you say Suresh was flying an aeroplane, then it will have one meaning. But if you say Abdul is flying a plane, then it will mean different to people…”

Surpiya Shrinate, the INC’s leader, tweeted while quoting author Ashok Kumar Pandey. “This person should be arrested. And those who are laughing, after listening to their vulgar nonsense, they should think – what are we becoming?”

Ashok Kumar Pandey wrote on Twitter, “This is called the limit of meanness. Such people are cheap businessmen who spread hatred in the society while doing the business of education. This man should be arrested immediately.”

People have flooded the comment with different perspectives on Hindu and Muslim communities since it was posted. Additionally, some Twitter users shared other controversial recordings of Khan sir, while others insisted that his comments were actually sarcastic.

“Khan Sir is clearly highlighting harsh ground realities faced by Muslims across the world not just India..,” one user wrote.
