However, Mohammed Salim, Leader, CPI(M) tweets that there is no need for a memorial for the 40 CRPF who had lost their lives a year ago as it will only remind us of our incompetence.
He tweeted: “We dont need a memorial to remind us of our incompetence. The only thing we need to know is how 80kg of RDX got past the international borders to the ‘most militarised zone on earth’ & exploded in #Pulwama. Justice for #PulwamaAttack needs to be done”.
Soon after this, Rahul Gandhi, too, attacked BJP saying that on this day we remember the CRPF personnel who lost their lives but we should also ask some questions. He tweeted: Today as we remember our 40 CRPF martyrs in the #PulwamaAttack , let us ask: 1. Who benefitted the most from the attack? 2. What is the outcome of the inquiry into the attack? 3. Who in the BJP Govt has yet been held accountable for the security lapses that allowed the attack?”.

On the 14th of February 2019, India saw what was arguably the most deadly terror attack on the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir in 30 years, so much so that a war between the two nations – India and Pakistan – seemed inevitable.
In retaliation, India attack the militants’ camps by dropping bombs through the 12 Mirage 2000 India sent across the border line.
