PM Modi and Union minister Amit Shah Pay Homage To CRPF Jawans On Pulwama Blast Anniversary, Rahul Gandhi Asks 3 Questions

Pulwama Blast Anniversary PM Modi Pay Tribute, Rahul Gandhi Asks Questions

Pulwama Blast Anniversary: 1 year ago, India witnessed one of the most horrific terrorist attacks where our Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Jawans lost their lives.

On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi that people of India will never forget those martyrdoms of the CRPF personnel. He said that the security personnel who lost their lives were “exceptional individuals” who had devoted themselves towards the protection and service of the country.

Last year on the 14th of February a convoy of vehicles which had CRPF Jawans on board was attacked by a suicide bomber with his vehicle on the Jammu – Srinagar National Highway at Lethpora in Pulwama, Jammu & Kashmir. It was found that he carried 80 kilograms of high grade RDX explosives.

In the terrorist attack, 40 CRPF Jawans lost their lives. Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted: “Tributes to the brave martyrs who lost their lives in the gruesome Pulwama attack last year. They were exceptional individuals who devoted their lives to serving and protecting our nation. India will never forget their martyrdom”.

Union Home Minister of India, Amit Shah also paid tribute on the Pulwama Attack Anniversary. He tweeted “I pay homage to the martyrs of Pulwama attack. India will forever be grateful of our Bravehearts and their families who made supreme sacrifice for the sovereignty and integrity of our motherland”.

However, Mohammed Salim, Leader, CPI(M) tweets that there is no need for a memorial for the 40 CRPF who had lost their lives a year ago as it will only remind us of our incompetence.

He tweeted: “We dont need a memorial to remind us of our incompetence. The only thing we need to know is how 80kg of RDX got past the international borders to the ‘most militarised zone on earth’ & exploded in #Pulwama. Justice for #PulwamaAttack needs to be done”.

Soon after this, Rahul Gandhi, too, attacked BJP saying that on this day we remember the CRPF personnel who lost their lives but we should also ask some questions. He tweeted: Today as we remember our 40 CRPF martyrs in the #PulwamaAttack , let us ask: 1. Who benefitted the most from the attack? 2. What is the outcome of the inquiry into the attack? 3. Who in the BJP Govt has yet been held accountable for the security lapses that allowed the attack?”.

On the 14th of February 2019, India saw what was arguably the most deadly terror attack on the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir in 30 years, so much so that a war between the two nations – India and Pakistan – seemed inevitable.

In retaliation, India attack the militants’ camps by dropping bombs through the 12 Mirage 2000 India sent across the border line.
