Nagpur Rape Case: A 19 year old girl in Narpur, Maharashtra was allegedly tortured and raped last week. It is said that the accused who is not under arrest had even inserted an iron rod inside the private part of the girl.
This heinous crime took place on the 21st January and Yogilal Rahangdale, 52, is the accused man behind this crime. Yogilal worked as a supervisor at a spinning mill according to the police. The girl lived with the accused along with her brother and another woman in rented rooms.
Sunil Chavan, an Inspector, said that on the 21st of January, the girl’s brother along with the other woman had left for their village for some work. As Yogilal found the girl alone at night he allegedly attempted to rape her, however, when she resisted, the accused stuffed a piece of cloth in her mouth.
As a result of suffocating, the girl fell unconscious and Yogilal then raped her and even inserted an iron rod in her private parts according to the complaint lodged by the girl.
She only told her brother of the incident 3 days later and then they went to the police together to file a complaint against the man. Yogilal Rahangdale has already been arrested.
