Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher, the Monday Night Football pair, took the matter into their hands, and came up with their Best XI of the decade of Premier League after Aston Villa and Newcastle’s Match in the early wee hours today.

Sky Sports shared the Premier League XI of the decade of both Neville and Carragher

Neville’s XI comprised of: Devid De Gea (GK), Pablo Zabaleta (RB), Vincent Kompany (CB), Virgil Van Dijk (CB), Cesar Azpilicueta (RB), Eden Hazard (MF), Yaya Toure (MF), David Silva (MF), Harry Kane (FWD), Sergio Aguero (FWD), and Luis Suarez (FWD).

Carragher’s XI comprised of: Devid De Gea (GK), Pablo Zabaleta (RB), Vincent Kompany (CB), Virgil Van Dijk (CB), Cesar Azpilicueta (RB), N’Golo Kante (MF), Yaya Toure (MF), David Silva (MF), Gareth Bale (FWD), Sergio Aguero (FWD), and Eden Hazard (FWD).

Both Neville and Carragher had 9 out of 11 players in common with 7 of them even sharing the same position. Carragher, in the studio, pointed out that in Neville’s XI all three midfielders wanting to share the same position. He said ‘He has got three players who want to be in the same position’. He even went ahead and said (jokingly) that ‘this is why England never won anything when he was a player or coach. Don’t try and just get the best players in’.

However, John Terry was left out of the top XI of the decade along with the likes of Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard just to name a few.

John Terry posted a message on Carragher’s Instagram post writing down his accomplishments during the decade in brief, including him lifting PL Title 3 times.

Terry wrote: ‘09/10 ? 14/15 ? played every minute of every game! Only the 5th player EVER to do that! 16/17 ?’.

Social Media was outraged as Neville and Carragher did not include some of the biggest name of the Football World who played in Premier League during this decade.
