Actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar and actor-host Shibani Dandekar are going to marry on February 21 after four years of dating. Farhan’s father, Javed Akhtar, confirmed the wedding news, saying, “Yes, the wedding is taking place.”
The wedding planners are handling the wedding arrangements, according to Javed, and the invitations are yet to be sent out. Because of the pandemic, the wedding will be on a small scale and will be a “simple affair.” Javed went on to say that everyone in the family really likes Shibani and that Farhan and her get along very well.
Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar apparently began dating in 2018 and frequently post images of themselves on social media. Shibani recently shared a note on Instagram on Farhan’s birthday that said, “My Foo, to what will be your best year yet. Love you FOREVER❤ Happy birthday@faroutakhtar.”
Shibani got a tattoo of Farhan’s name on her neck for her birthday in August. She shared the picture of it on her Instagram account.
Farhan’s first marriage was with Adhuna Bhabani, a hairstylist. The former couple, who separated in 2017, has two daughters, Shakya and Akira.
Farhan Akhtar, who was last seen in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Toofan, will soon return to direction with Jee Le Zaraa. The film will have Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles.
