Mayan Agarwal made his test debut on 26th December 2018 and scored 76 runs against Australia in an away series. Today as he was playing his 8th international test match Mayak scored his 3rd ton. The in-form Karnataka batsman has helped India to get a good lead over Bangladesh in the first test match that is being played in Indore against Bangladesh.
Mayank reached 100 mark after flicking the ball off of Ebadat Hossain and securing 2 runs. To score his 3rd ton in test cricket Mayak laced 1 sex and 15 boundaries.
Mayank would have been sitting in the stand if only Imrul Kayes hadn’t dropped him when he was batting at 32, Imrul dropped a catch at the slip on the 1st Day of the test match. Today the 28 year old Mayak was asked to go back to the pavilion following a LBW when he was batting at 91 but a successful DSR review saved him right before lunch. After returning from lunch, Mayank patiently waited for the right deliveries and reached the 100 run milestone only after 5 overs of the second session.
As he reached 100, Mayak also scored 715 runs in his test career with just 12 innings. In the 12 innings his average is over 60 and have scored over 50 runs six times. Since 26th December 2018 (Mayank’s debut date) only Steve Smith have scored more runs than him in test matches with 774 runs to his name.
With scoring his third 100 in 12 innings, he is the fourth fastest player amongst Indian batsmen and 12th globally to reach this milestone.

Mayank Agarwal scored his 1st century against South Africa in October 2019 and successfully converted it to a double century, he later got dismissed after scoring 215 runs. He again scored a hundred against South Africa and in doing so he became the 2nd opener after Virender Swhwag to score consecutive centuries against South Africa.
Mayank scored his 200 with a six off of Mehidy Hasan delivery only to later get dismissed by him with a tally of 243 runs, in which he smashed 8 sixes, and 28 boundaries, Mayak was trying to hit a sweep shot towards mid-wicket but finds Abu Jayed who takes the catch with his right hand.
