The Panga movie actress Kangna Ranaut has been provided with the y-Plus category of security by the Central Government said officials on Monday.
The Central Security agencies took the decision in the view of the threats the Bollywood actress has received after she openly spoke about the drug use among the section in the movie industry following the death of the 34 year old actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Kangna Ranaut tweeted saying, “This is proof that no fascist will be able to crush a patriotic voice, I am thankful to @AmitShah ji, he would have advised me to go to Mumbai after a few days due to the circumstances, but he kept the words of a daughter of India, our Self-respect and self-esteem are respected, Jai Hind” after she was given the Y-plus category security.

The Home Ministry has decided that the 33 years old actress will receive Y-plus category security through one of the paramilitary personnel, a home ministry official said.

The Y-plus category central cover entails deployment of about 10 armed commandos with the protectee, the official said.
