Today, Deepika and Ranveer share a post on their respective Instagram handles on the occasion of their first wedding anniversary. Deepika shared the picture on her Instagram handle standing outside the entry gate of the temple, she captioned the image ‘As we celebrate our first wedding anniversary, we seek the blessings of Lord Venkateswara. Thank You all for your love, prayers and good wishes!’ and tagged Ranveer Singh.

Ranveer Singh shared the same image and he captioned the image ‘Our first wedding anniversary… Feeling truly blessed… Thank you all for your love’ and tagged Deepika. Deepika wore a traditional red sari (saree) garlanded with jewellery with hair tied in a bun, she had put on sindoor (Vermilion). Ranveer wore a Kurta Pajama (Pyjama) of ivory shade with a jacket on top. He also wore a brocade over them which is probably an accessory for the rituals.

Ranveer and Deepika were accompanied by their respective families. Ranveer was accompanied by parents Jagjit and Anju Bhavani and sister Ritika, while Deepika was accompanied by her parents Prakash and Ujjala Padukone and sister Anisha.
The two families along with the couple celebrating their first wedding anniversary are expected to travel to the Golden Temple in Amritsar continuing their celebrations.
The couple got married on the 14th of November 2018 at Lake Como, Italy following both Konkani and Sindhi traditions (2 weddings). As most of the Bollywood weddings, theirs was too attended by close friends and relatives.
Following their ‘weddings’ (probably the only time someone using it for a good reason) the couple hosted two reception functions in Mumbai, one for their colleagues in the media, and the second for the film fraternity and VIP guests.
Deepika is will be next seen in the movie Chhapaak, movie based on real life story of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal that will be released on the 10th of January 2020. On the other hand, fans will have to wait a little longer to see Ranveer on the big screen, his next movie ’83, movie based on Kapil Dev and India winning its first Cricket World Cup, will be released in April 2020.
