Alia Bhatt had signed up with William Morris Endeavour (WME), an American talent agency, last year to pursue her career in the West. The actress will now make her Hollywood debut with Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan in the Netflix thriller Heart of Stone. The script is written by Greg Rucka and Allison Schroeder and directed by Tom Harper. Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger are producing, and so are Bonnie Curtis and Julie Lynn from Mockingbird and Gadot and Jaron Varsano from Pilot Wave. Executive producers include Harper, Rucka, and Patty Whitcher.
The plot of the film revolves around Rachel Stone (Gal Gadot), an intelligence operative. She is the one woman who can save her powerful, global peacekeeping organisation from losing its most important — and dangerous — asset.
Today, March 8, Netflix India’s official Instagram account confirmed the news, writing, “Starting our day by announcing (and SCREAMING!!!) that @aliaabhatt is going to be in #HeartOfStone (sic).”
