 Asif Basra, 53, who starred in famous movies Kai Po Che! And web series Paatal Lok was found dead. Basra was found dead in a private complex in Dharamshala and the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kangra Vimukt Ranjan said that a forensic team is at the spot and police is investigating the matter.

Hansal Mehta, a filmmaker, was among the first from the industry to react to his death, writing, “Can’t be true… This is just very, very sad,”.

As per reports, the 53 year old actor had been living in a rented house in McLeodganj since the last 5 years.

Asif was last seen in the 2^nd season of the web series named Hostages from Disney+ Hotstar. He also starred as a senior executive in a media house in Amazon Prime’s Paatal Lok, which released earlier this year and was praised for his role.

Asif has also been seen in films such as Black Friday, Jab We Met, Hichki, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, Krrish 3, Ek Villain and many others. He also starred in foreign productions like Quicksand and Outsourced, apart from playing a cameo in One Night with the King.
