Highlights:
- Goa is a green zone currently and the CM is pitching to lift the restriction on inter-state travel
- Sikkim, Nagaland and a couple of others have not reported a single case yet
A ray of sunshine in what has been dark times for the World where India was not an exception came as 4 States –Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Manipur and Mizoram – and one Union Territory (UT) – Andaman and Nicobar Islands – which did report Coronavirus in the past remained Coronavirus-free with no active cases.
All the patients have been cured and no new case was reported.
In the past, Andaman and Nicobar Islands reported more than 30 cases while Goa reported 7, Manipur reported 2 and Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram both reported 1 case each. All the patients in these UTs and States have been cured/ discharged, as per the figures provided by the Health Ministry.
Daman and Diu, Lakshadweep, Nagaland, and Sikkim have still not reported a single case of the novel Coronavirus. Pramod Sawant, Chief Minister (CM) of Goa, during the video conference with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Monday, pitched that the restrictions on interstate travel in Goa should be listed. He also requested to help in reviving the mining and tourism industry of Goa.

Currently, Goa is a green zone and have not reported a single active Covid-19 case in the state.
Across the country, the total number of coronavirus cases has crossed 70,000 while the death toll has risen to 2,293. In the past 24 hours, 87 fatalities and 3,604 fresh COVID-19 cases were reported.
The number of active Coronavirus cases in India stood at 46,008, while 22,454 people have recovered and one patient has migrated.
In the past 24 hours, 36 deaths were reported in Maharashtra, 20 in Gujarat, six in Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh, five in West Bengal and one each in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir.
