Recently, the Indian giant T-Series, which have the most subscribers on YouTube, released a remake version of the A R Rahman’s popular song Masakali, but, it did not go as planned with the netizens. Masakali 2.0 is a revamped version of the original from Delhi-6 starred by Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor.
The original track which was released over a decade ago, in 2009, was sung by Mohit Chauhan and written by Prasoon Joshi. However, the 2.0 is sung by Tulsi Kumar and Sachet Tandon.
Even the music composer has been changed, the 2.0 version is composed by Tanishk Bagchi. The video has received almost 16 million views on YouTube in 2 days and stars Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria.

Soon after it was released, Masakali 2.0 was not just YouTube trending, it was trending on other platforms as well, and the Twitteratis, especially, had their share of fun. The netizens did not actually like the new version of the video and flooded it with jokes and memes.
