On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the government is setting up Prime Minister’s Citizen Assurance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM-CARES) Fund. He urged the people of the country to come together and contribute whatever they can to help the government fight against the novel Coronavirus.
PM Modi is the Chairman of the trust and the Home Minister, Finance Minister, and Defence Minister is all members of it.
On Saturday, PM Modi tweeted, “देशभर से लोगों ने COVID-19 के खिलाफ लड़ाई में सहयोग करने की इच्छा जाहिर की है। इस भावना का सम्मान करते हुए Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund का गठन किया गया है। स्वस्थ भारत के निर्माण में यह बेहद कारगर साबित होगा। (People of India have voiced a war against COVID-19 and considering it, the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund have been established. It will be an important step towards building a healthy nation)”.

- Scan the QR code and you can pay using wallets like Paytm, GooglePay and more

- It will take you to SBI Bank’s website where after reading through and accepting the terms, you can click on “Proceed”
- Select the option “Donation”
- Fill in your information and click Submit and make the payment
