A well-known school in Noida was shut today for a period of 2 days amid Coronavirus scare as the father of a student studying in class 6th was detected positive for the deadly virus. Another school in Noida has said that it will close down from tomorrow until the 11th of March to take precautionary measures.
Officials from the Health Department visited both of the schools and collected samples from the 2 students. The team was headed by the Chief Medical Officer on whose orders the sanitation process of one of the school has begun. Additionally, the family of the child has been taken in and are being kept in quarantine.
While talking to a leading news agency of India, B N Singh, District Magistrate (DM) of Gautam Budh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh said, “We have quarantined the family for now and the chief medical officer has reached the location and advised the school to shut down and ordered a deep fumigation. There is nothing to worry,”.

The family has 2 children and attend the same school. The family hosted a party on the occasion of their child’s birthday in a hotel in Delhi which was attended by three children from the same school along with their respective families. All these children go to the same school which is now shut. One of the two families who attented the birthday party lives in an independent house in Sector 37 Noida, while the other one lives in a society in Sector 93 of Noida.
The school that has been shut is located in Sector 135 of Noida and will be closed for 3 days for dis-infection of the premise. The other school is in Sector 168 of Noida.
In Delhi, the first case of Coronavirus came to light on the 2nd March 2020, a person who had travelled to Italy and is now being diagnosed at the RML (Ram Manohar Lohia) Hospital. Some of the family members of the Delhi based man who was tested positive for COVID-19 were shifted to Safdarjung after they showed symptoms of this deadly virus.
According to reports, some of the relatives of the man were asked to stay quarantined at their own houses. Adding that one of the accountants, who works for the Delhi based man, has been shifted to Safdarjung Hospital along with some of his relatives for the tests.
