Lata Mangeshkar: Condition still critical though recovering slowly

Lata Mangeshkar who received the Bharat Ratna (highest honour a civilian can be awarded with) in the year 2001 was admitted in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) of the Breach Candy Hospital at around 2:00 AM on 11th of November after she complained about difficulty in breathing.

Hospital said thought her condition is still critical, but she is making slow recovery. She is being treated by Dr. Patit Samdhani.

As per the official statement of a hospital employee ‘She is critical but her condition has slowly improved. She is still in the hospital’.

Lata Mangeshkar’s PR team on Tuesday stated that she is now ‘stable’. The team said ‘Her parameters are good. Honestly speaking, she has fought so well that she is coming out of this setback.
