Kuber Puja
Money is the fundamental necessity of everything in the world as derived from the famous Sanskrit quote ‘Dhana Moolam Idam Jagat’. A person with no money is respected by none, with money gets you status, happiness, comfort, food, clothing, and assets. Kuber Pooja gets you the money your desire, quickly.
Who is Kuber?
Kuber is ths Hindu god associated with wealth. He is said to be the king of all Yakshas (the nature spirits). He is the treasurer of the heaven and considered to be the guardian of all the wealth. By appearance, lord Kuber is shown a short but with stout persona wearing marvellous jewellery carrying a bag of money. People who devote themselves to him and perform his Pooja with utmost sincerity and diligence may not have scarcity of money.
Why is Kuber Important?
It is believed that lord Kuber loaned money to Ravana, the demon king, and financed the stunning marriage of Venkateshwara. He is known as the guardian of all the money present in the universe. Even the headquarter of the Reserve bank of India (RBI) has a statue of lord Kuber installed at the entry.
Kuber Yantra
Kuber yantra is made out of gold, silver or panchaloha (metal produced by fusing five type of metals). It is widely believed that the people who worships this yantra are kept away from misfortunes and brings wealth to his home. Kuber yantra must be kept in the place where you keep your money and only during Kuber puja should it be taken out.
Kuber Mantra
Om Yakshaya Kuberaya Vaishravanaya Dhanadhanyadhipataye Dhanadhanyasamriddhim Me Dehi Dapaya Svaha, this means, Lord Kuber you are the guardian of all the wealth and success, I am bowing my head in front of your please bestow your blessing on me.
Kuber Dhyana Mantra
Manuja baahya vimana varustitam Garuda ratna nibam nidinayakam Sivasakha mukutadi vibhooshitam- varadehyatam bhajam tamthilam Agasya Deva Devesa Martsyaloka hithechyaa- poojayami vidhanena prasanna sumukobhava
Kuber Laxmi Mantra
Om Hreem Shreem Kreem Shreem Kuberaya Ashta-Lakshmi Mama Grihe Dhanam Puraya Puraya Namah, which means, I pray to you lord Kuber and goddess Laxmi to grant me all the money and joy of the world.
Kuber Puja Procedure
It is said that one should do this Pooja on Trayodasi (the thirteenth day of the lunar month), this does not mean you shoul not do the Pooja on the other days. On the day of the Pooja, you need to take bath with holy water, clean the altar and take out the Kuber Yantra and plate in the altar. Decorate them with haldi (turmeric) paste, sindur (Vermilion) and akshada (yellow rice) and plate it with some flowers on it.
Now light the incense sticks and the ghee lamp and start with worshiping Lord Ganesha. After that, chant the Kuber Dhayana Mantra and next recite the Kuber mantra 108 times. Offer sehad (honey), gud (jaggery) and meve (dry fruits). For the aarti of Kuber Yantra, light up the lamp with Kapoor (camphor). In the end, sit in front the yantra and meditate by saying your prayers, then circle around the yantra once and do namaskar.
