The Five-year long shoot of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s starrer, Brahmastra has finally concluded. The Director of the film, Ayan Mukerji announced the film’s wrap which ended with a three-day Varanasi schedule. Sharing a picture with the lead cast of the film, an elated Ayan wrote “And finally… It’s a Wrap! 5 years since we took our first shot on Brahmāstra, and we’ve finally filmed our last one!” Adding on to the same, he mentioned how incredibly challenging and phenomenal the entire experience had been.

The shoot of ‘Part one: Shiva’ concluded in Varanasi at the Kashi Vishwanath Mandir ensuring closure on the notes of purity and sanctity. Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions will be producing the movie along with Fox Star Studios, Prime Focus and Starlight Pictures.

The fantasy trilogy will release theatrically on September 9th, 2022 in 5 Indian languages, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Besides Alia and Ranbir, other stars to feature in the film are south megastar Nagarjuna; Bollywood icon, Amitabh Bachchan; actress and model, Mouni Roy, and the evergreen Dimple Kapadia. The film supposedly marked the beginning of Ali and Ranbir’s relationship.

Soni Razdan (Alia Bhatt’s mom) along with Neetu Kapoor (Ranbir’s mom) shared the above post in their stories thrilled with the news. Popular celebrities of the B-town like Shweta Bachchan, Anaita Shroff Adjania, Saqib Saleem and Abhimanyu Dassani commented on Ayan’s post extending best wishes to the entire cast of Brahmastra.

The idea of Brahmastra was conceived when Ayan and the team were shooting “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” and was materialised in 2017-2018. The movie promises to treat viewers with a never-seen-before spectacle on the big screen.
