Mirzapur’s Brahma Mishra whose claim to fame happened ahead of his appearance in the thriller Indian web series was discovered dead in his Mumbai home in Versova on Thursday. Police revealed that they found Mishra on the bathroom floor.

Police anticipate the actor’s death due to cardiac arrest. His body has been sent to the Cooper Hospital in Juhu for an autopsy to affirm the cause of death.

Adding on, the police said that the flat’s door was fastened from inside and that a case of Accidental Death was being filed. The OTT (Over the Top) platform of Amazon Prime Video that streamed the sensational series took to Twitter and expressed their condolences over the untimely demise of the actor.

The platform thanked the actor for entertaining everyone, making the audience laugh and cry and for constantly reminding the people of the love and honesty embedded in true friendship. Brahma’s co-star Divyenndu who is portrayed as ‘Munna Tripathi’ in the series also expressed despair over the actor’s decease and urged people to pray for him via Instagram post.

Divyenndu wrote, “RIP Brahma Mishra Our Lalit is no more, Let’s pray for him everyone.”

Mishra had complaints of chest pain in the past and had also reported the same to doctors on November 29th. He was undergoing medication for the same. His body was discovered three days after his death when the police received complaints of malodour coming from the flat.

Mishra was putting up in the rented Versova apartment for the last four years.

Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment also conveyed a heartfelt message on social media expressing remorse over Mishra’s demise. Gully Boy star Vijay Varma was also saddened by the news and expressed his grief over social media.

Brahma Mishra is popularly known for the roles he played in movies like Manjhi: The Mountain Man, Dangal, Kesari and Mirzapur.
