Bhopal News: A part of the Foot Over Bridge (FOB), on Thursday, collapsed at the old station in the capital of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal. As per reports, at least 9 people were injured in this accident and out of those 3 people are said to be in critical condition.

5 of the 9 injured have been admitted to the Hamidia Hospital and 4 were admitted to the Railways.

According to the reports, the incident took place on the platform number 3 while the Tirupati Nizamuddin Express was standing at the platform.  Some stalls were also placed right under the FOB. Right after the incident, the administration at the railway station closed the FOB for all passengers.

IA Siddiqui, Spokesperson of the Railways said, “A small portion of the slab of the Foot Over Bridge (FOB) collapsed. 7-8 people have been injured. There have been no grievous injuries and there is no casualty either. We will investigate the matter and action will be taken against the people responsible for it.”

The former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh tweeted after getting the news on the FOB collapse accident at Bhopal saying ” Friends, I received the information through news channels that two people had died. It is a matter of relief that no civilian casualties have been reported in this accident. I pray to God to heal the injured soon”.
