Uber partners with DMRC will incorporate public transport in its routes!!

Uber, the US based taxi service provider has now partnered with DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Service) and soon will offer its users ‘Uber Transit’ at some select metro stations in Delhi. This will make Delhi Asia’s first city where Uber will launch this service.

Niece in France and Boston in US are among other cities where Uber has already launches its Uber Transit.

In Uber Transit, when the users will enter their destinations they’ll get an option of ‘Public Transport’ along with ‘UberGo’, UberPool, and ‘Premier’.

If the user selects ‘Public Transport’ option they will get the cheapest and quickest routes with real time schedules of metro trains, buses, and walking instructions, both to and from the metro stations, and bus stops nearby.

Pradeep Parameswaran, President Uber India and South Asia said ‘Uber aims to build every leg of the journey seamless’. Though it is being said that this services will be provided at all the metro stations in Delhi, no timeline has been provided.
