The government of India is requesting the citizens of India to come forward and help the state in fighting the novel Coronavirus together. After this many celebrities and organizations came forward and made huge contributions to the cause to provide some aid in the relief efforts.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted “It is my appeal to my fellow Indians, Kindly contribute to the PM-CARES Fund. This Fund will also cater to similar distressing situations if they occur in the times ahead. This link has all important details about the fund”.
The PM-CARES Fund accepts micro-donations too. It will strengthen disaster management capacities and encourage research on protecting citizens.

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has pledged a sum of Rs. 25 crores towards the PM-CARES Fund (Prime Miniter’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situation) to help Indian fight against the novel Coronavirus. The 52-year-old actor took it to Twitter to announce the same.

Tata Sons and Tata Trusts collectively donated Rs. 1,500 crore to this cause playing their role in India’s fight against the Coronavirus.
Tata Trusts have pledged Rs. 500 crore while Tata Sons have committed Rs. 1,000 crore. The Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons and Chairman of Tata Trusts, Rata Tata said, “The COVID 19 crisis is one of the toughest challenges we will face as a race. The Tata Trusts and the Tata group companies have in the past risen to the needs of the nation. At this moment, the need of the hour is greater than any other time.”

The Board of Control For Cricket in India (BCCI) also came forward to pledge Rs. 51 crore to the PM-CARES Fund saying, “BCCI to contribute towards strengthening the nation’s disaster management capacities and encourage research to combat COVID-19 and protect Indian citizens.”

JSW Group, formerly called Jindal South West, has come forward and donated Rs. 100 crore to the relief fund and to this PM Nodi replied, “I am extremely proud of our industrial leaders, who are rising to the occasion and contributing towards a healthy India. Indian Cricketer has pledged Rs. 31 lakhs to PM-CARES and Rs. 21 lakhs to UP CM’s Disaster Relief Funds.
Also, Chairman and Managing Director (MD) of T-Series, Bhushan Kumar has also
pledged Rs 11 crore, and to this PM Modi replied, “Thank you @itsBhushanKumar I
