On October 21, Swift released her long-awaited album “Midnights,” in two versions: a conventional 13-track edition and a deluxe version with seven bonus tracks. According to Billboard, it was one of the biggest album releases in almost seven years, which also made its chart-topping debut on Billboard’s top albums chart.
According to Swift, the 13 songs on the album talk about the story of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout her life. When taken as a whole, they paint “a full picture of the intensities of that mystifying, mad hour.”
The album “Midnights” broke several records. According to Spotify, Swift’s 10th album’s release disrupted Spotify for hours, but “Midnights” still broke the record for most albums streamed in a day on Spotify on the day it was released.
“Midnights” sold more copies in its first week than any other album this year, nearly tripling the sales of Harry’s House, Harry Styles’ third solo album, which held the previous record. Again surpassing Styles’ numbers of 53.9m, Midnights also had the greatest first-week streams of the year with 72.5m.
According to a new report by Billboard, Taylor now has 40 top 10s, surpassing Madonna’s 38, making her the female artist with the most top 10s in chart history. She is the only artist to have more top 10s than Drake (59) and also broke the previous record of 9/10 Billboard Hot 100 set by Drake’s Certified Lover Boy in 2021.
Taylor commented on the news on Twitter in response to the Billboard article. She wrote on Twitter, “10 out of 10 of the Hot 100??? On my 10th album??? I AM IN SHAMBLES.”

Her song Anti-Hero held the top spot on the Billboard list, whose lines “It’s me/hi/I’m the problem/me” swiftly became a social media trend!
Taylor recently announced plans for a Midnight tour during the recording of an episode of The Graham Norton Show. She added, “We will sometime soonish. It’s going to happen… We will do it, and it will be great.”
