Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who is married to American singer-songwriter Nick Jonas, had dropped her surname, as well as her husband’s last name, from her social media profiles earlier in November. The starlet has dropped the surnames ‘Chopra’ and ‘Jonas’ from her Instagram and Twitter accounts and is now just known as Priyanka.
Her supporters were taken aback at the time since neither she nor anybody on her team provided an explanation for the change. Many people speculated whether her marriage to Nick was on the rocks and the couple was on the verge of divorce.
However, Priyanka’s mother, Madhu Chopra, denied her daughter’s divorce rumours. Priyanka has also spoken up about dropping her surnames from social media. “I don’t know,” she said to one of the leading news agencies. I guess I wanted the username to match my Twitter handle. I simply find it hilarious how everything becomes such a big deal to people. Guys, it’s social media. “Just chill out!”
Priyanka plays Sati in The Matrix Resurrections, which has been released in theatres today. Her co-stars in the film include Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Neil Pattrick Harris, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, Daniel Bernhardt, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.

Priyanka has spent the last 12 months in London filming her next series Citadel. She admitted that being separated from her husband, American pop artist Nick, for so long has been difficult, especially after she relocated to the United Kingdom for the past year and a half.
“This year has been incredibly challenging,” Priyanka remarked. It was really difficult to be away from home for a full year, especially when you couldn’t go to see your family. “I was all alone.”
In an interview with Brit Asia, the actor was asked how her father would have felt if she had been a part of such a popular sci-fi franchise while he was alive. Priyanka stated that her father is her biggest ‘champion,’ and whatever she has achieved in her life is because of him. “He would have been proud,” she said.
Priyanka’s mother, Madhu, stated on Monday that she is extremely proud of her daughter and believes she deserves all of her achievements. Madhu captioned a photo of herself with Priyanka from the Matrix 4 premiere, “Celebrating the dedication you’ve shown on the way to this achievement. You’ve earned every bit of the success. Heartfelt Congratulations and Best wishes for the launch of Matrix and all your future endeavors.”
