ISRO Young Scientist Programme 2020: Recently, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) issued a notification wherein it is inviting students from all over India to join its summer holiday’s programme which will start in May, later this year. The application process for ISRO Scientist Programme has already begun and will close on the 24th of February 2020 at 6:00 PM (1800 Hours).
Apart from joining for a programme in one of the world’s most reputed space organisation, the selected students will learn at their centre without any cost as ISRO is offering all-expense-paid residential programme. In addition to this, one ticket will also be provided to the guardian/ parent for dropping and picking the student to and from the ISRO Centre by ISRO.

ISRO Young Scientist Program 2020 Selection Criteria
ISRO will select 3 students from every State and Union Territory in India to take part in this programme. The student applying must have passed the 8th standard and should currently be studying in 9th standard. In addition to this, 5 seats will be reserved for OCI students – Overseas Citizens of India.
ISRO Young Scientist Program 2020 Application Process
The application for this programme is online, to apply you can follow the steps below:
- Visit ISRO’s official website: https://www.isro.gov.in/
- Scroll down a bit and you will see “Yuvika-Young Scientist Programme”, simply click on it
- Click on “Click Here For Online Registration” after reading the details of the programme on the same page
- Fill in the details, E-mail id, Name of the Student, and the text that will be written on an image. This image’s text will change everytime you land on the page.
- After registering, simply login with your credentials and fill in the application form.
Please note that ISRO is not charging any fee for this programme and no agency is involved in the selection process.
ISRO Young Scientist Programme 2020 Dates And Selection Process
The application date for this programme has already started and the last date to apply is 24th February 2020, latest by 6:00 PM (1800 Hours).
The provisional list of selected students will be released on the 2nd of March following which the student will have to upload copies of all the relevant certificates and documents after attesting by 23rd of March.
On the 30th March 2020, ISRO will release the final list of selected students after verifying the document.
The ISRO Young Scientist Programme will start on the 11th May and will conclude on the 22nd of May of 2020 4 for ISRO Centres which will are located in Ahmedabad, Bangalore (Bengaluru), Shillong, and Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum).
