Notorious history-sheeter from Uttar Pradesh, Vikas Dubey who has been accused of killing 8 cops last week has been arrested from a temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh around a week later after he was being searched for in 3 states. Gangster Vikas Dubey was arrested in Ujjain around the same time two of his aides were killed in Uttar Pradesh in separate encounters.
His closest aide and allegedly a family member Aman Dubey was killed yesterday in an encounter where 2 policemen were wounded.

Vikas Dubey was spotted at the temple at around 8:00 AM today and the people from the temple, after seeing his face became sceptic and asked him for his name where he openly claimed to be Vikay Dubey, said a priest from the temple. Following this, the police were informed and the security of the temple made sure he could not leave.
On Friday, 8 policemen were killed when they went to Bikru village in Chaubeypur area of Kanpur to arrest Vikas Dubey after a complaint.
Vikas Dubey has been charged in more than 60 criminal cases which include murder, extortion, kidnapping and rioting had been alerted of the raid by the local policemen and had helped him set the ambush.
When the police arrived the road was blocked by earthmover machines and as soon as police personnel stepped down from their vehicles they were attacked by Vikas Dubey and his men with guns including AK-47 from the rooftops.
Due to the timing of the incident, the notorious gangster and his men were able to escape from the scene and a massive hunt began for him where the bounty was raised multiple times which finally reached Rs. 5 lakh.
The police inspector in-charge of the police station near to Dubey’s village was arrested on Wednesday over allegations of him tipping off the gangster of the raid and also in the past helping him escape the law.
The police hustled their search operations outside Uttar Pradesh when Dubey was seen at a hotel in Faridabad near Delhi on the morning of Wednesday.
Though the history-sheeter may have escaped the police at the hotel, his aides were not so lucky as One gang member named Prabhat was arrested from the hotel and later shot dead when he allegedly tried to escape.
He was being brought back to Kanpur with another man arrested along with him in a police van.
The police claimed to be fixing a flat tyre of the police vehicle when Prabhat snatched a gun and tried to escape. He shot at the cops and then the policemen retaliated said the policemen. Prashant Kumar, Senior Police Officer said, “He was injured in the leg. He died in hospital,”
Another aide of Vikas Dubey, Bauva Dubey AKA Praveen was also shot dead this morning in Etawah, almost 220 kilometres from the capital of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow. Akash Tomar, a senior police officer said, “At around 3 am, a Swift Dzire was looted by four armed men on a Scorpio.
They were stopped about an hour later by cops when they tried to escape. The police chased them and an unidentified man suffered multiple injuries in crossfire. He was declared brought dead at the hospital,”. This man was later identified as Praveen.
