As an aftermath of a grenade blast in a vegetable market in Srinagar today, 1 person was killed and 15 others were reported injured. According to the J&K Police, this was the 3rd grenade attack in J&K in under 2 weeks.
According to the reports, the blast took place around 1:30 pm today in the Hari Singh High Street vegetable market which is in the heart of the city, out of the 15 people who were injured, 2 are said to be in critical condition.
Terrorists have started attacking these vendors since the market remains shut due to restrictions.
Last blast happened a week ago wherein 15 people were injured in Sopore, Kashmir. The attack happened at a bus stand when people were waiting for a bus.
The blast before that happened on the 26th of October at a CRPF checkpost when they were inspecting the motor vehicles and the terrorists threw grenade at them. In this incident 6 personnel were injured.
In October alone, 11 Indian citizens (People from other states than J&K) were killed by terrorists at different occasions, they have started targeting them ever since article 370 was revoked in J&K. Last week alone, in Kulgam district, 5 people from West Bengal working in J&K as labours were shot dead.
On 31st of October, J&K was divided into two Union Territories, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh.
