Virat Kohli’s underperformance in the match and his getting knocked at a meagre score of 49 was a big blow to the Indian cricket team.
Anushka was also present at the stadium to cheer for her husband Virat and the Indian cricket team. While one can see Anushka Sharma devastated in the stands as her husband failed to score big, she also became a target for some trolls who blamed her for India’s defeat. While some claimed that India would lose every time she was there, others didn’t shy away from calling her a “panauti”.
However, the actor’s fans supported her, saying that it was not her fault that her husband and the Indian team did not perform.
Returning to the couple’s love story, Virat and Anushka, who had a dreamy wedding in Italy in 2017, have become one of the power couples in Bollywood today. The couple kept silent about their love story for a long time and kept their relationship under wraps from their fans and the media. Speaking to former cricketer Ab de Villiers earlier, Virat recalled being named captain of the Zimbabwe tour in 2013. His manager told me he was going to shoot with Anushka Sharma. He got very nervous when he heard that.
Virat said that the first thing he said to Anushka on their shoot was, “Didn’t you wear higher ones?” and she said, “Excuse me?” According to him, the shoot went bad, and he was very nervous. But then he eventually realised that she was a normal person with a background that was very similar to his own. He added that they became good friends from there and gradually started dating.
He further added that they did not start dating immediately and talked for a long time. They started dating only when Anushka thought he was a decent man. And the rest is history.
Virat and Anushka are now proud parents of their daughter Vamika.
