Actress Rhea Chakraborty’s advocate says Rhea has “never consumed drugs in her life,” amid the investigations of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the case of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death in response to the allegations that the 28 year old actress was in touch with drug dealers in Mumbai.
These allegations have been linked to WhatsApp chats which were reportedly recovered from her phone.
Her lawyer, however, in a statement said, “Rhea Chakraborty has never consumed drugs in her life time ever. She’s ready for a blood test any time,”.
These latest set of allegations came in after almost 2 months of speculations and conjectures in the 34 year old actor’s death case. The CBI, which began its investigations in this case after the order from the Supreme Court of India was passed last week, is also expected to investivate the angle of drug use.
According to a report, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) came across the WhatsApp chats which were recovered from Rhea Chakraborty’s phone which was seized in an investigation of money laundering. The chats were then shared with the CBI.

Now, Rhea will be likely to be questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation as well in the days to come for her connection with the case into the circumstances which lead to the 34 year old actor Sushant Singh Rajput who was noted as a rising talent by the Supreme Court of India.
As per the same report, the messages which referred to an alleged conversation about acquiring drugs between the 28 year old actress and a person whose number was saved on her phone as “Miranda Sushi”.
It is being said that Sushi was a nickname for Sushant Singh Rajput and Miranda could as well refer to Samuel Miranda, his manager.
On Tuesday, Samuel Miranda was questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation.
In July, K K Singh, Sushant Singh’s father had filed a First Information Report (FIR) at the Rajiv Nagar Police Station in Patna, Bihar, alleging abetment to suicide.
In the FIR, Rhea Chakraborty along with her parents, brother Showik and former manager of Sushant, Shruti Modi and Samuel Miranda and several others as key suspects.
On the 14th of June, Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra home. The Mumbai police said it was a death by suicide based on the autopsy and the viscera report and the statements of the witnesses.
Last week the investigation of this case was taken over by the CBI.
