If a person wishes to book a ticket via QR code, he/ she will need to install the UTS Application from the Google Play Store and complete both “registration” and “login” process.
After the user logins to the account, he/ she will be required to select a QR booking in the “book ticket” field and then scan the QR code provided at the railway station premises.

The Central Government is planning on auctioning the Railway Stations to private firms so that it could be better modernised as per current times, on Monday the Union Minister Piyush Goyal has said.
While addressing a webinar which was organised by the Merchant’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry or MCCI, the Union Railway Minister said that the bids for privatising the trains were “all out and well responded”.
However, the opposition is not in favor of privatizing of the railways saying it could impact the normal public who uses Indian Railways on a daily basis to commute.
